Peer Review Process

The submitted manuscript of Jurnal Abdimas Khatulistiwa will be peer-reviewed. The stages of double-blind review process applied at Jurnal Abdimas Khatulistiwa as follows:

1. Submission of manuscripts is only processed via online OJS of Jurnal Abdimas Khatulistiwa. Website: https://ejournalyarsi.ac.id/index.php/jak/user/register .

2. The incoming papers will be examined to see if they comply with the Jurnal Abdimas Khatulistiwa author rules and submission structure, as well as if the manuscript fits the journal's emphasis and breadth. If all the requirements are met, it will proceed to the next stage. If not, we will recommend that the manuscript be submitted to other publications. Within two weeks, the author will receive quick notification via email from the managing editor of Jurnal Abdimas Khatulistiwa.

3. The editor will communicate the review findings to the author. Manuscripts that meet the criteria at this point will proceed to a double-blind peer review round. Reviewers will be selected based on their reputation in terms of the number of international publications and the caliber of the study. Each potential reviewer candidate will receive an invitation letter from the editor. Following notification of the availability of reviewer candidates for the review process, within six months, the editors and reviewers then provide helpful feedback to the authors on the evaluation findings.

4. A manuscript that has been approved with conditions for revision (major or minor) from peer reviewers will be sent back to the author for revision. Reviewers suffice to provide recommendations whether papers should be accepted or rejected, in accordance with Jurnal Abdimas Khatulistiwa policy. The editor and editor-in-chief, however, have the final decision whether to accept or reject the work.

5. Authors are given no less than four weeks to revise the paper. The relevance and significance of articles about the latest knowledge in nursing and practical development are taken into account when deciding which articles to publish in the equator nursing journal.

6. Manuscripts that have undergone final editing and have been approved by the editors will be published in the edition chosen by the chief editor.

Time needed to review a manuscript ranges from 4 to 12 weeks. Each reviewer will have their own account created by the editor. Reviewers then can submit manuscripts via OJS. The editor in OJS is in charge of supervising the double-blind review process used for all review assignments. To avoid conflicts of interest, the editor will send the manuscript to a different reviewer if the reviewer submits it to Jurnal Abdimas Khatulistiwa.
