Author Guidelines
AUTHOR STATEMENT
Before the article is published, author statement form should be submitted online which includes originality, not in process or published elsewhere, author agreements, no conflict of interest, transfer of copyright rights, the protocol for the research project has been approved by suitably constituted research ethics commintee of the institution within the work was undertaken. AUTHOR GUIDELINES
All manuscripts submitted to Khatulistiwa Nursing Journal must be written in good Indonesian. Work must not be published or submitted for publication elsewhere. Every manuscript will be checked for plagiarism. The official language of the manuscript to be published in Khatulistiwa Nursing Journal is Indonesian. Manuscripts are written in Microsoft office word using Times new roman fonts, A4 paper and a minimum of 10 pages. The margins are 3-3-3-3 (left-top-right-bottom) in cm.
1. General writer's guidelines
All manuscripts must be submitted to the editor of the equator nursing journal using online submission on the e-journal portal address: https://ejournalyarsi.ac.id/index.php/knj/index where authors also need to register online as authors. 3. Manuscript preparation guidelines:
The manuscript will be published in the equator nursing journal after a peer-review process and it is decided "accepted" by the editor. Manuscripts are submitted using the following components:
A. Title : maximum 16 words, times new roman, size 16, bold, center, single spaced.
B. Author's name: author's name is written below the title using Times New Roman font, size 12, bold, center, without title, and may not be abbreviated.
Below the author's name is the author's identity by listing affiliation, city and country [times new roman, 10, normal, centered]. Emails of all authors are entered, for correspondence marked with a * sign.
C. Abstract: abstracts are written in indonesian and english of 200-250 words each. The abstract contains background, goals, methods, results, conclusions (times new roman, 10, normal, space 1).
D. Keywords: maximum 5 words, separated by semicolons (;). [times new roman, 10, normal, space 1].
E. Introduction: contains justification regarding the importance of research conducted. The novelty of the results of this study is compared with the results of previous studies and needs to be displayed clearly. Question sentences (research problems) need to be included to answer all research activities carried out by the author.
F. Method
Research design : This section discusses the methodology where the author(s) describe in detail the research design used e.g. experiment, quasi experiment, cross-sectional.
Intervention (applicable to experimental studies)
Author(s) describe the intervention given, if it involves a control group then describe the intervention given to this group. Author(s) also need to explain the stages of implementation of the intervention given.
Population and sample : author(s) describe the sampling technique and formula used. Author(s) write down the inclusion criteria and how to get respondents
Variable : author(s) explain the variables measured in the study along with the purpose of measuring these variables.
Instruments : author(s) clearly explain information related to the research instrument used including if the author(s) have to develop, adopt or modify the instrument. Author(s) clearly state the name of the instrument used and its source. Author(s) briefly describe the type of instrument, how it is used and the scale used.
Data collection : author(s) describe the data collection techniques used and the stages of implementation in data collection.
Data analysis : author(s) describe the techniques used to analyze the data, including the computer software used, if appropriate. For example, 'spss version x is used to analyze data. Then the analysis of variance (anova) technique is used to test the hypothesis.
Ethical eligibility : author(s) write a statement that this research has received approval from the ethics committee along with the ethical number obtained.
G. Results
Findings are presented in full to answer the research objectives. Can be displayed in the form of tables / figures / graphs and data is explained correctly in the form of narration. Tables and figures are numbered and headed.
H. Discussion
a description of the findings of the study supported by related studies. Statistical figures are no longer included in the discussion. The discussion ends by providing the implications of the study.
I. Conclusion
The conclusion contains a brief summary of the findings and discussion. A conclusion is a finding in a study that has an answer to a research question or research objective. Research findings provide suggestions or contributions to the application and/or development of studies.
J. Acknowledgments
Acknowledgments given to research funders and people who contributed to this research are written clearly.
K. References
Reference contains reference sources with at least 80% of journals published in the last 5 years. References written based on american psychological association (what) 7th edition and arranged from a to z and using reference management like mendeley, endnote, zotero with times new roman, 12, normal, 1 space.
