Article Retraction & Withdrawal

Published articles may be retracted by the editor, author, or third party for the following reasons:

Evidence that the research results are invalid, either due to intentional or unintentional errors (e.g., data manipulation, methodological errors, or calculation errors).

Plagiarism or substantial duplication of previously published work without proper attribution.

Dual publication or violation of research ethics (e.g., lack of ethics approval or participant consent).

Conflicts of interest that are not transparently disclosed and affect the integrity of the results.

Article Retraction Procedure:

Retractions are made based on investigation by the editorial board or based on externally verifiable findings.

Retracted articles will remain available in the online archive with a “Retracted” watermark on each page and an explanation of the reasons for retraction.

The formal notification of retraction will be published in the next issue of the journal.

Article Withdrawal (Pre-Publication)
Authors are allowed to withdraw articles that have been submitted for publication before the peer review process is complete or before it is declared accepted, provided that:

The main author submits an official written request to the editor stating the reasons for withdrawal.

The article is not under evaluation in another journal.

Note:

Withdrawing an article that has been declared accepted and in the production process will be considered unethical and can only be done in special circumstances with the approval of the editorial board.

Authors who withdraw manuscripts unprofessionally without notification may be subject to sanctions, such as suspension of submission for a certain period of time.

Handling Problematic Articles
KNJ is committed to maintaining the integrity of publications. Any reports or allegations of violations will be followed up seriously and transparently based on the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines.
