Background: The phenomenon of cyberbullying and its relationship with the use of social media in school-aged children is an increasingly relevant topic in today's digital era and abroad there are many cases of cyberbullying that have very serious impacts on victims such as suicide. Purpose: This study was conducted to obtain information about the relationship between the use of social media and cyberbullying behavior in schools. Method: This type of research is a cross-sectional survey. The population is 100 elementary school students. Sampling was carried out by random sampling which was analyzed using the chi-square test. Data collection was carried out by filling out questionnaires from previous studies. Results: The results of the study showed that of the 100 respondents, the majority (55%) were female. Most (33%) were in grade 5, most of the use of social media (61%) was positive. And Most did not behave cyberbullying (62%). Conclusion: The results of the chi-square test obtained a p value = 0.016 which means there is a relationship between the use of social media and cyberbullying behavior in other words there is a negative impact on the use of information technology in the form of cyberbullying in the environment. Recommendations to reduce cyberbullying behavior include limiting the use of social media by school-age children, including parental and teacher supervision of social media use at school and at home.
