Abstract

Background: The high number of cases of heart disease is partly due to the lack of public awareness in disease control and treatment. Low motivation and awareness of heart disease patients towards healthy living behavior patterns in reducing the risk of disease will result in the progression of the disease will worsen. Objective: to determine the correlation between self-efficacy and the implementation of a healthy lifestyle and quality of life in coronary heart patients. Methods: The research design used an explanatory research design, accidental sampling from March 25, 2025 to August 20, 2025 with a sample of 30 respondents, namely coronary heart disease patients at Ende Hospital, Ende Regency. Data analysis was carried out with spearman test. Results: there was a significant relationship with a strong positive correlation between self efficacy and healthy lifestyle p value = 0.012, r = 0.635 and respondents' self efficacy with quality of life obtained p value = 0.003, r = 0.717 meaning that the better the patient's self efficacy, the better the lifestyle and quality of life and vice versa. Conclusion: self-efficacy was found to be something that can affect the lifestyle and quality of life of coronary heart disease patients.
