Background: Cesarean section performed under spinal anesthesia is frequently associated with postoperative nausea and vomiting (PONV), which may delay patient recovery. Non-pharmacological interventions such as lavender and lemon aromatherapy have been suggested as potential methods to alleviate these symptoms. Objective: this study aimed to assess the levels of PONV in patient undergoing caesarean section with spnal anesthesia before and after the administration of lavender and lemon aromatherapy. Method: A quasi-experimental study with a pretest-posttest design was conducted to evaluate changes in participants’ conditions before and after the intervention. Result: Between-group comparison using Mann-Whitney showed no significant difference (p=0.598). Conclusion: There was no statistically significant difference in the effects of lavender and lemon aromatherapy on PONV (p > 0.05). Nevertheless, the clinical reduction in PONV scores suggests that both lavender and lemon aromatherapy may contribute to decreasing ostoperative nausea and vomiting among women who underwent cesarean delivery under spinal anesthesia.
